Background: Contemporary orthodontic practice consists of innovative appliances for ease, safe, and quick results. However, the associated potential disadvantages are rarely published. Objective is to publish literature on accidental swallow foreign objects such as or parts fixed in patients. Method: An electronic search was performed PubMed, Medline, Scopus, The Cochrane Library, EMBASE until March 15th 2019. Methodological quality synthesis case series report tool (MQCC) applied determine these reports series. outcome variable assess its effect airway gastrointestinal tract; methods removal bodies. Meta-analysis not study included which no control groups were present Results: Out 113 series, twenty-nine articles this systematic review. Only 31% have satisfied MQCC scale maintained high-quality reports, 43% medium high 26% designated low quality. Conclusions: appliance accidentally detaches from position, patient can engulf due patient’s negligence, lack maintenance education awareness. Orthodontist should educate, instruct provide a written format management, precautions. Accidental ingested body be managed two methods, first noninvasive, check forth obstruction, encourage fiber-rich diet laxatives. Second method use endoscopically laparoscopy with magill’s forceps.
